There are several spectacular Mayan ruin sites nearby. Sites include: Chichen Itza, Dzibilchaltun, Ek Balam, Kohunlich, Dzibanche and Oxtankah, Mayapan, Muyil, Tulum, Uxmal, and Xel-Ha (ruins are part of the Xel-Ha Lagoon eco-park).
How about a jungle safari? Or see the jungle floor by taking a zip-line tour? There are several adventure parks nearby that will give you plenty of options to experience our tropical landscape.
Take a day journey on a catamaran, or do some snorkeling out of a glass-bottom boat. Maybe you prefer a romantic evening cruise? Why not go swimming with dolphins?! Or would you like to catch your dinner by going deep sea fishing? Sportsmen will have plenty of opportunities to go kayaking, scuba diving or even cliff diving. You can even go exploring coral reefs in a submarine!
Cocos Cabanas have an associated diving center and paddle board classes.
This beautiful Mexican island is visible right from the beach in front of Coco's Cabanas. Ferries are easily accessible from Playa del Carmen.
